Company Information:
Samyang Corporation is a Korean conglomerate whose business interests include foodstuffs, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Samyang’s Pharmaceutical R&D Center is primarily focused on drug delivery with a portfolio that included parental, oral and transdermal platforms. Samyang is currently exploring new research areas such as Gene Therapy (siRNA), as well as innovative drug delivery technologies.

Research Scientist
1. Fields : Research Scientist
2. Job Descriptions and Key Areas of Responsibility:
-       Precede target gene identification based on target disease, to design siRNA drug candidates of Samyang. Scope of these positions included planning, designing and performing experiments to identify siRNA candidates (siRNA sequence design/screening) and to evaluate siRNA therapeutics.
3. Qualifications, Experience and Personal Skills:
-       Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Genetics Pathology, Cell Biology (Cancer) and/or related field (Functional Genomics, target gene validation, etc.)
-       Minimum 2-3 years of experience
-       Knowledge of siRNA drug design and experimental design for product development (preferred)

-       Support the development of products utilizing SYC’s biodegradable polymeric drug delivery systems from proof-of-concept and preclinical studies to manufacturing scale-up and technology transfer The scope of these positions includes planning, designing and performing experiments to develop stable and effective controlled-release formulations, this position will directly involved with collaborative research between Samyang and leading academic groups in USA
3. Qualifications, Experience and Personal Skills:
-       Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Genetics Pathology, Cell Biology (Cancer) and/or related field (Functional Genomics, target gene validation, etc.)
-       Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with siRNA and/or drug delivery
-       Knowledge of non-viral gene delivery systems and experimental design for product development

-       Planning, designing, and performing experiments to develop tissue engineering products with growth factors or cells
3. Qualifications, Experience and Personal Skills:
-       Ph.D or Master’s degree in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative medicine or a related field (Biomedical Polymer Chemistry, Bio Engineering, Etc
-       Minimum 2-3 years of experience
-       Knowledge of biomaterial modification to incorporate biological activity, such as growth factors and cells

Working Condition:
l      Working Days: 5 days/week
l      Working Hours: 40 hours/week
l      Working Place: Daejeon R&D Center
Annual Salary: Negotiable
**Foreign Special Tax Rate**
1)       Non-taxable treatment on 30% of the gross earnings
2)       Separate taxation on total income from employment by multiplying such income by 17% flat rate
