Invitation Letter from KASBP Symposium-Organizing Committee

Following the success of prior conferences, Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) cordially invites all members and friends to the 11th Annual KASBP Symposium, hosted by KASBP, Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., and Green Cross Co., and sponsored by KHIDI (한국보건산업진흥원), KSEA, and KUSCO.

This symposium will focus on current trends in drug discovery and the development of young bio-pharmaceutical professionals. This year, the symposium has successfully recruited outstanding speakers to cover R&D collaboration strategy, current status of anti-inflamatory drugs, development of a new HCV drug, innovation of process chemistry, ADME evaluation tools, and drug approval process by FDA.

Prof. Sung-Hou Kim (김성호), a recipient of 2011 KASBP-Daewoong Achievement Award, will give a presentation with the title: Discovery of A “Personalized” Cancer Drug for Metastatic Melanoma. One of highlights of the symposium is round table discussion with FDA reviewers on new drug approval process. Another meaningful event is presenting the KASBP-Daewoong and KASBP-Green Cross fellowship awards to young scholars such as graduate students, post-docs, and industrial scientists who exhibit excellence in research.

This symposium will provide an opportunity for members to establish professional networks, and share information and experiences amongst members in pursuit of excellence in research and development. Please mark your calendar for this exciting symposium.
