2026 KASBP Fall Symposium

The Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) is pleased to invite applications for the 2026 KASBP Fellowship. As part of KASBP’s long-standing commitment to fostering scientific excellence, this prestigious fellowship recognizes outstanding early-career researchers who have made meaningful contributions to biomedical and pharmaceutical research.

Fellowship recipients will be honored at the 2026 KASBP Fall Symposium, which will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport in Newark, New Jersey, on November 13-14, 2026. Selected fellowship awardees will receive a $1,500 cash award, presented during the symposium.

Eligible Research Areas

Applications are welcomed from candidates working in:

• Medical sciences
• Biological sciences
• Pharmaceutical sciences
• Organic and medicinal chemistry
• Related fields in drug discovery and development

Eligibility

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• Postdoctoral fellows (PhD, MD, PharmD, DVM, or MD/PhD) at academic institutions or pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies
• Staff scientists holding a doctoral or master's degree at academic institutions or within industry
• Instructors or junior academic staff who are not on the tenure track

Ineligible Applicants

• Graduate students
• Previous KASBP Fellowship recipients

Awardee and Poster Presentation Requirements

Fellowship recipients are required to:

• Register for the 2026 KASBP Fall Symposium (failure to register will result in withdrawal of the award)
• Deliver a 3-minute oral presentation
• Present a poster during the symposium

In addition, poster presenters may be selected from the fellowship applicant pool. A separate poster application is not required. Applicants interested in presenting a poster, regardless of fellowship selection, should indicate “Prefer to Present Poster” in their fellowship application email.

Selected poster presenters will receive a $500 cash award.

Please note: KASBP does not provide support for travel, lodging, or symposium registration expenses for either fellowship recipients or poster presenters.

• Cover letter
• Abstract of representative research work
• Future research directions
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
