    As an honored tradition, the KASBP awards the fellowship to young scholars who demonstrated a proven record of important contributions to the field of biomedical and pharmaceutical research. The program offers $1000. Additionally, recipients are invited to attend the 2025 Spring KASBP Symposium, where they will have a unique opportunity to present their research, to explore the current trend of the pharmaceutical industry and to establish networks with leaders and experts in Korean-American pharmaceutical society.

    Having reviewed a highly competitive pool of candidates from all across the United States of America, we proudly congratulate the 2025 Spring KASBP fellows. We thank everyone who took their time to submit the fellowship application.

    The MOGAM-KASBP Scholarship program awards undergraduate and graduate students pursuing science-related disciplines at university or scientific institution outside of Republic of Korea (ROK)thanks to the generous support of MOGAM Science Scholarship Foundation. To foster students to advance their studies in KASBP's key areas of interest, the program offers $5000 to select scholars. Additionally, recipients are invited to attend the 2025 Spring KASBP Symposium, where they will have the opportunity to explore the current trend of pharmaceutical industry and to establish networks with leaders and experts in Korean-American pharmaceutical society.

    KASBP Fellowship Award

    2025 KASBP Spring Symposium


    The Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) cordially invites you to apply for the KASBP fellowship. As an honored tradition, we award the fellowship to young scholars with a proven record of important contributions to the field of biomedical and pharmaceutical research. The 2025 KASBP spring symposium will be held at Hilton Rockville in Washington DC from June 13th to June 14th, 2025. The award will be granted to fellows with a $1000 cash prize at the symposium.

    Invited Area: 

    Medical sciences, Biological & Pharmaceutical sciences, Organic/Medicinal chemistry, and/or areas related to drug discovery and development

    Detailed Information:

    1. Qualification:

            Postdoctoral fellow(PhD, MD, PharmD, DVM, and/or MD/PhD) currently working at an academic or pharmaceutical institution.

            Staff scientist with either doctoral degree or master degree working at academic or pharmaceutical institutions.

            Instructor or non-tenure track junior staff member working at an academic institution.

            Graduate students are NOT eligible to apply.

            Previous awardees are NOT eligible to apply

    1. The fellowship awardee MUST register to the KASBP Spring Symposium (The nomination will be retracted upon failure of the registration).
    2. The awardee will receive partial travel support.
    3. All applicants are encouraged to present posters. Due to the limited space, poster presenter will be selected and notified (a poster presenter will receive $200 cash prize)
    4. The fellowship awardee MUST give a 3-min oral talk and present a poster.

            Due date: April 4th, 2025 (9 pm EST)

            Material to submit: Cover letter, abstract of your representative work, future direction, and CV in 1 combined PDF file only. Total 5 pages maximum. Word file will not be accepted.

    About KASBP Symposium: It has been an excellent venue for emerging scientists and scholars to connect with a large professional Korean-American scientist network.           MOGAM-KASBP Scholarship

    2025 KASBP Spring Symposium

    The Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) is a non-profit organization founded in May 2001. With the generous support of MOGAM Science Scholarship Foundation, KASBP established MOGAM-KASBP scholarship in 2022 to foster brilliant undergraduate and graduate student(s) studying science-related disciplines at university and/or scientific institution outside of Republic of Korea (ROK). We are cordially inviting you to apply 4th MOGAM-KASBP scholarship. The award winner will receive $5000 prize together with airfare and 1-night hotel supports.

    Invited Area: 

    Medical sciences, Biological & Pharmaceutical sciences, Organic/Medicinal chemistry, and/or areas related to drug discovery and development

    Qualifications and guidelines:

    1. The applicant must be an undergraduate or a graduate student.
    2. Previous awardees are NOT eligible to apply
    3. The applicant must have ROK citizenship.
    4. Permanent US resident (green card holder) retaining ROK citizenship is eligible to apply.
    5. The applicant who holds dual citizenship (i.e., both ROK and foreign country) must declare not to exercise foreign citizenship in Korea before submitting the application.
    6. The applicant must attend to 2025 KASBP Spring Symposium (Hilton Rockville MD, Washington DC, June 13th to 14th), the scholarship will be cancelled upon failure of your presence at the symposium.
    7. The awardee is encouraged to present a poster (Optional. Please indicate in your application letter).
    8. The award nominee will be asked to submit 4 documents. 1) a copy of current enrollment verification certificate, 2) a copy of current passport, 3) a copy of passport information certificate, and 4) a copy of your visa or green card to prove ROK nationality before the symposium. The nomination will be cancelled upon failure of submitting the documents.

    The Korean American Society in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals (KASBP) cordially invites you to apply for KASBP Fellowship. As an honored tradition, we award the fellowship to young scholars with proven record of important contributions to the field of biomedical and pharmaceutical research.
