Business development manager for Latin America
1. Job description (Position Summary)

Daewoong America Inc is the US branch office of Daewoong pharmaceutical, based in Rockville, MD.
This role is part of the global business at Daewoong America to proactively and strategically implement the business for Latin America market.
The job will encompass market research, target identification, data package management, evaluation of collaboration opportunities, out-license and partnership management, strategic decision and other overall business development activities.
2. Responsibility
Business development associate/manager should manage all the business discussion and relationship with excellent communication skill and global business knowhow such as out-licensing, collaborative development agreements, joint ventures, and so on. It may include management activities through subordinates and supervisors in the US or Korea.
Business development associate/manager also should lead assessment of these opportunities by a cross-functional team to the stage of developing a recommendation of to proceed or not to proceed further with diligence.
3. Requirements
Fluent Spanish speaking required, Native speaker preferred. (Additional Portuguese speaker also preferred)
BS or BA required
Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Medical and other related science based degrees preferred.
Advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD, MD, MBA) preferred.
For manager, at least 4-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area required.
For associate, at least 1-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area required.
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries, particularly the deal environment.
A strong understanding of the drug development and commercialization process.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20-30%.
Clear verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work in an unstructured environment.
