Job Title
Process Chemist
Key Responsibility
- Develop and optimize scalable, robust, and cost-effective synthetic processes for small molecule drug substances to support clinical and commercial manufacturing
- Conduct laboratory-based process research and development, including route scouting, process optimization, impurity profiling, and scale-up study
- Support technology transfer from laboratory to pilot and production scale in collaboration with manufacturing teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and cGMP standards during process development activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with analytical scientists, QA/QC, engineering, regulatory affairs, and project management to support client projects
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement continuous improvements for existing manufacturing processes
- Stay current with advances in synthetic organic chemistry, green chemistry, and process intensification technologies
- Facilitate regular technical meetings with international customers
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Peptide Chemistry, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of post-doctoral experience and/or industrial experience in process development preferred
- Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry with process troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GMP regulations or familiarity with DoE tools
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team with strong communication skill
- Proficiency in a second language
