THE ROLE

Join the HITS AI Research Team to build world-class AI agents that go beyond Q&A — agents that autonomously analyze complex biological data, formulate strategies, and accelerate scientific discovery.

Eligible for Korean Industrial Research Personnel (전문연구요원) status.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

● Multi-agent systems for autonomous scientific research

Design agent architectures that analyze literature at scale, generate hypotheses, and execute research workflows autonomously.

● Conversational bioinformatics analysis agents

Build agents that holistically understand multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics) and experimental data, performing analysis and hypothesis verification through dialogue with researchers. Target publication-quality figures, tables, and statistical analyses.

● Domain-specialized knowledge and research agents

Reach the deep bio / chemistry information that general-purpose AI services can't — accurately searching literature and internal data to generate expert analysis reports.

● Agentic workflow design and implementation

Push past current LLM / agent limitations and productize the capabilities of the near future. Connect the pharmaceutical industry value chain to create new business value.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

● Understand what needs to be built and imagine how to implement it

● Hold a Master's or PhD (or equivalent) in AI, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields

● Design, build, and deploy LLM / agent-based applications — fluent with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph,

LlamaIndex, and stacks like RAG, MCP

● Work with bioinformatics or cheminformatics data — or learn it quickly

● Communicate clearly, with documentation and knowledge-sharing at the center of how you work

PREFERRED

● Hands-on experience with pharma / bio-specialized software (BioNeMo, AIDDISON, Pharma.ai, etc.)

● MLOps, LLMOps, or scalable backend systems experience

● Publications at top-tier AI conferences (ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, ACL, etc.) or strong competition results (Kaggle, Dacon)

● AWS proficiency (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda)
